Welcome to Light Foot
We are a Community Interest Company based in Bishops Castle, Shropshire. Set up by local people, for local people, our aim is to help you to understand how you use energy and to help you identify where you can save money. We also offer advice on insulation grants, feed in tariffs (FiTs), the renewable heat incentive (RHI) and have a directory of local suppliers.
We run the Household Energy Service (HES) providing independent energy advice for homes in the Marches. We have recently extended our service to offer energy surveys to businesses and community buildings too.
We rely on a merry team of enthusiastic volunteers with a passion for helping others to save energy to help us deliver our service. Our trained volunteer surveyors will visit your home to carry out a survey. Our expert energy officers then write a comprehensive report for your property highlighting where cost savings can be made and specific energy saving suggestions.
As part of our Big Green Challange submission we recorded average savings of 29% carbon per household and average savings of £380 off fuel bills per household.
We are grateful to everyone involved in Light Foot for helping us to win the UKs Big Green Challenge in 2010.
