Mandy Brick - Local Coordinator in Knighton and Presteigne Hi welcome to my web pages. I'm Mandy Brick, the Local Co-ordinator for HES in Knighton and Presteigne. I am the newest coordinator having only been in post since last August. In that time I have tried to be out and about in the community, finding out what we can do for folks and how they would like us to help. You may have seen me on the streets of both Knighton and Presteigne in May this year, with my colleague Becky, pouncing on passers by with my questionnaire and clip board as part of some work HES has been doing to strengthen our community links and to make sure we are providing what you need. Those of you who took part will know there was a prize draw. And I am pleased to say that our hamper of local produce was won by Rosamund Black of Broad Street, Presteigne.

I have given quite a few talks, taken part in local events and have attended training to learn what else I can do. I live in Knighton, but having worked the last 11 years in Presteigne, so I hope I am known in both towns.

During my time I have been out and about I have discovered there is a lot to do. I have been heartened by the number of people who have requested a survey and who really want to make a difference. At the moment saving money is the big issue, but people have not lost sight of the bigger picture. I was interested in the conversation a group had after one talk I did. They believed that if they all made an individual effort as best they could the collective effort would amount to something. As the saying goes from little acorns grow mighty oaks.

I am here to support my band of dedicated volunteers who with the number people now waiting for surveys would love you to you train up and help them, so more people can start saving Carbon Energy and Money sooner. Please get in touch with me I would love to hear from you. I can arrange training and all the support you need. Contact me now and start making a difference for your family and friends -amandab@h-e-s.org or on 01547 528265. And do keep visiting these pages. I hope to use them to share my experiences with you, my hopes for what we can achieve and the highs and lows of doing so.  So please do drop in.

Mandy's paddling dogLastly but not least I thought you might like this picture of our dog to remind you of warmer times and sunny days. He loves paddling more than the children and likes ice cream just as much as they do.
