The HES community dividend scheme is now being piloted in Newtown. By applying to volunteer for HES through this scheme, Newtown residents can earn money for their local good cause. The scheme has been set up to benefit all kinds of community groups ...  from Newtown Football Club to the schools to Age Concern.

HES will train all volunteers to carry out  free home energy surveys for their friends and neighbours. When each volunteer has completed 5 surveys, an award of £25 will be paid to their local good cause, charity or community group. Additional community energy dividends, for nominated organisations, will be awarded at a rate of £10 for each additional client surveyed.
